About Us

View of the Elks Lodge grounds at sunset.

Perched along Guard Hill Road in Front Royal, Virginia, Elks Lodge 2382 sits just minutes from Skyline Drive and the sweeping ridgelines of Shenandoah National Park. That location is no accident. Members here have long understood that the best conversations happen after a good hike, and the lodge's trails deliver exactly that. Lace up, walk the property, and come back to a barstool and a home-cooked plate that tastes like someone's grandmother made it, because someone basically did.

This lodge earned a 4.4-star rating across 51 reviews not by accident but by doing the small things right: a bartender who asks where you're from, regulars who scoot over to make room, and a kitchen that actually cooks. Veterans groups traveling through on their way to Skyline Drive have shown up here twice in a single day because the first visit was that good. Elks members from out of state know the drill: walk into any lodge and you're among family, but Lodge 2382 has a way of making that feel especially true.

What We Offer

The lodge offers home-cooked meals on a rotating menu that changes with the season and whatever the kitchen crew feels like doing well that day. Expect hearty plates at honest prices, the kind of lunch that actually holds you through an afternoon on the trails.

Beyond the kitchen, the bar is a proper gathering spot where the pour is fair and the conversation is free. Lodge 2382 hosts member events, charitable fundraisers, and community gatherings throughout the year. The hiking trails on the property give members and guests a reason to arrive early and stay late. Elks members traveling through the Shenandoah Valley are always welcome to stop in, and first-time visitors curious about membership can find a warm introduction here.

"My wife and I, both Elks members, were here in August of 2022. When you visit an Elks lodge, the bartender and many of the regulars are usually friendly and want to know where you're from and why you're in the area. Not here. The bartender was curt and no one spoke to us at the bar. I don't think we smelled bad but who knows? This experience is the exception among the many Elks lodges we've visited across the country. Suffice it to say, we won't take the time to visit again. There are too many much more friendly lodges to visit."

"As part of a group of Veterans we were invited to come to the Lodge twice the same day. Our group was on an outing to visit nearby Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park. We were treated to fresh coffee and donuts on our way to the Park and a great lunch on our return trip to Martinsburg, WV. Thanks to the Elks Lodge for their kind hospitality."

"Nice club, pool tables, casino machines, and huge event room. SMOKING is permitted which leaves my clothes stinking when I visit for Karaoke, or a great meal."
